Guangzhou ATO

The U. S. Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) based in Guangzhou, China, is an overseas office of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
It is the oldest USDA/FAS field office in China, established in 1985. In addition to the four provinces that form the Guangzhou consular district (Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, and Hainan), ATO Guangzhou also covers Hunan province. Our mission is to promote the export of U.S. agricultural, forestry, and fishery products to China. The ATO actively organizes and supports various promotional activities to introduce these products to the South China market. The ATO assists U.S. exporters with promoting their products, as well as provides services to local importers, such as attending local trade shows, in-store promotions, menu promotions, scheduling meetings for U.S. and Chinese traders, and organizing trade missions to the United States. ATO Guangzhou manages a number of programs in cooperation with FAS partners, or “cooperators”, to overcome perceived and real constraints to trade. Our ultimate goal is to expand trade opportunities for U.S. exporters in South China and throughout the Pearl River Delta.
