Chengdu ATO

The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) of the U.S. Consulate General in Chengdu is the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) market development and trade assistance office.
ATO Chengdu has responsibility for China’s fastest growing regional economy, the Southwest, which includes Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Tibet. In addition to providing direct U.S. exporter assistance, ATOs collaborate with USDA Cooperators to effectively promote U.S. agricultural, fishery, and forestry products through market development programs. These activities support high-value and value-added consumer-ready products tailored for the retail sector, as well as products utilized by local food service providers and the processing and manufacturing industry. To achieve success, the ATO works closely with local businesses throughout the supply chain, government contacts, and relevant associations.
